I am wondering what can be a substitute for alcohol in cooking? Specifically a substitution for wine in recipes.

White grape juice can be used as substitute as It has the flavour quality of muscatel without the alcohol content.

Substitute chicken, beef or mushroom broth, white grape juice or ginger ale for beer.
Substitute 1 1/2 to 2 teaspoos of non-alcoholic vanilla extract for bourbon.
In the place of vodka use white grape juice or apple chider combined with lime juice or use plain water.
Substitute cactus juice or nectar for tequila.
Substitute juice from peaches, apricots, or pears or cognac.
Use orange juice concentrate, orange juice, orange zest or orange marmalade for triple sec.
